When Walinga USA made the decision to expand operations in West Michigan, they turned to Windemuller for a complete electrical and communications systems solution for their new manufacturing facility in Wayland. Partnering with D&K Engineering and Hulst Mechanical, Windemuller provided a full design-build electrical package tailored to the facility’s specific operational needs. The scope included power distribution, lighting, and integrated low-voltage systems to support a modern, efficient manufacturing environment.
Overview
The new facility was critical for Walinga, whose previous space no longer met their production demands. With a lease ending and the need for improved workflow and capacity, the new building offered an opportunity to optimize operations from the ground up. Windemuller’s team played a key role in ensuring the electrical infrastructure supported those goals—designing and installing systems that would enhance efficiency, security, and long-term flexibility.
Although the project progressed smoothly, timing was tight toward the final stages. Windemuller’s team worked closely with the construction partners to meet deadlines without compromising quality. In addition to core electrical services, Windemuller installed access control systems, video surveillance, and low-voltage cabling for wireless access points—providing Walinga with a secure, future-ready facility built to support continued growth.
