I brought a broad background in electrical work when I joined Windemuller in 2021 as an account manager. I’m based out of Kalamazoo, and my primary responsibility is estimating and managing projects for our customers. I perform a lot of site visits both in and out of state. I’m also the team lead for our water tower projects.
I was living in Las Vegas and attending culinary school when a casual conversation with a friend piqued my interest in this line of work. Shortly after, I left culinary school behind. I landed an apprenticeship with a company in Vegas doing commercial and industrial construction and ultimately received my journeyman license. Then I moved back to my native Michigan and continued in the field, learning the maintenance side of things, and also held a position as an assistant project manager. At that time, my goal was to get into project management to further my career so when I learned of an account management opportunity at Windemuller, I jumped at the chance.
I enjoy coordinating the work with customers, and I like the guys I work with. Something that stands out at Windemuller is that the work we do doesn’t go unrecognized by leadership. We are given opportunities for new responsibilities and growth in our roles.
I also really appreciate how family-friendly the company is and the support shown for things we do outside of work. I love dogs, specifically German Shorthaired Pointers, which I breed and raise. My boss understands how much my dogs mean to my family, and he and my co-workers have gone out of their way to show that. It means a lot.
