All Systems Go at GRR
Windemuller has a long history of partnering with Gerald R. Ford International Airport, a facility which has experienced an escalating demand for flights. Most recently, our team was enlisted to work on an extensive remodel and expansion of airport facilities, including additional gates, expanded passenger waiting areas, and additional food/beverage services.
The project unfolded in various stages, beginning with the relocation of airline gates to prepare for the south-end expansion. Before the telecom rooms were ready, Windemuller successfully kept critical systems online and upheld security measures while integrating new systems into the airport’s network.
With SecurAlarm, Windemuller tackled the main challenge of ensuring that security measures remained intact, despite the dynamic nature of the project, including shifting security lines and the need to temporarily relocate cameras.
Windemuller navigated the challenge of demolition while ensuring all tenant spaces remained undisturbed. The existing concourse area is now completing a full remodel, enhancing airport capacity and the passenger experience. The project, set to conclude in January 2024, highlights our team’s expertise in managing a complex, multifaceted project.
