BATA Operations Facility

The Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) Operations Facility, Traverse City’s largest public transportation service, provides over half a million rides annually to residents and visitors in the region. To accommodate the growing needs, BATA has constructed a new, state-of-the-art operations center. Windemuller played a crucial role in this project by installing advanced card access and camera systems in the new facility.

Key features of the installation include Axis card access and camera systems that integrate seamlessly on a single software platform, allowing easy management and monitoring. The setup includes long-range readers for garage doors and an automatic card access system for buses, which activates door openings via long-range readers. The video security system encompasses 30 foursensor cameras throughout the main building providing 360-degree views, ensuring 100% surveillance of both the interior and exterior of the facility.
