Windemuller was tasked with providing the electrical work for a state-of-the-art bottle filler/packaging line, new chiller, and wastewater pre-treatment system.
In order to meet the electrical demands needed for the equipment upgrades, Windemuller designed and installed a new 1200 amp 480 volt distribution panel. Feeders were then installed to provide power for the state-of-the-art bottle filler/packaging line that Windemuller also helped assemble. The new bottle filling line fills 150 bottles/minute and will automate the majority of the packaging process.
The new chiller that Windemuller did the electrical wiring for replaced the smaller chiller Short’s
currently had. Do to the increase in production it was no longer efficient to keep up with demand.
As production volumes increase, Short’s wanted to avoid overloading the municipal wastewater facility. In order to accomplish this, a 150,000 gallon aerobic wastewater pre-treatment system was installed and has the capability to treat 1,350 lbs of Biochemical Oxygen Demand per day. Windemuller supplied and installed new motor control centers (MCC) with motor starters and variable frequency drives (VFD). Conduit was also run for power and control wiring and building lighting.
Short’s Brewing Company has experienced great success in production volumes and anticipate even more rapid growth in coming years. The upgrades made to the brewery allows Short’s to enhance the quality of the product they distribute and fosters growth in years to come. Windemuller is proud of the partnership we have developed with Short’s Brewing Company and look forward to watching the success of the brewery continue.
