Comprehensive Electrical in Limited Time
Overview
Ascension Borgess Hospital is a well-known, full-service hospital located in Kalamazoo. They offer 24/7 emergency care, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Level II Trauma Center, and other specialty care. Recently Borgess partnered with West Michigan Cancer Center and Institute for Blood Disorders to build a brand new cancer center. The new medical facility will offer medical oncology, infusion services and hematology. The Windemuller team and our partners were given a quick 12-month turnaround to ensure this facility would be up and running by fall of 2021.
This 40,000 sq. ft., two-story ground-up building required all the essential electrical work including lighting fixture and fire alarm installation, as well as service on the equipment. In addition, our team installed a 3000A service that was backed up by a 100kW generator to service the building. Throughout the process, our team ensured we had the time management, organization and skilled employees to complete the job at hand. This project became the general contractor’s first building of this size and complexity completed in a 12-month window. The new facility officially opened in September of 2021 and is now serving the Kalamazoo community.
