Windemuller undertook a comprehensive electrical project for the Meadow Valley Senior Living Facility in Traverse City, a retirement community offering assisted living, independent living, and memory care. This project involved extensive electrical infrastructure work across the facility’s 110 rooms and common areas, ensuring a reliable and functional environment tailored to residents’ diverse needs. A critical element of the project was the installation of an on-site generator, providing backup power to enhance safety and peace of mind for residents and staff.

To bolster security, Windemuller installed card access systems, which allow controlled entry for residents and staff, adding both convenience and a layer of protection. The security was further reinforced by the installation of a robust surveillance system, with strategically placed cameras providing comprehensive monitoring across the facility. Additionally, the surrounding acreage was outfitted with site lighting to ensure safety and visibility throughout the property at all times.

However, the project was not without its challenges. In 2022, progress was slowed by varying requirements across different facility wings, creating an inconsistent workflow that required careful management. Manpower shortages also impacted the timeline, as maintaining a steady pace was essential for completing the project efficiently. Despite these obstacles, Windemuller’s work played a vital role in transforming Meadow Valley into a self-sustained community, rich with amenities, where residents enjoy a secure, fulfilling environment designed to meet the needs of modern retirement living.
