42 Degrees Electrical Updates
Overview
42 Degrees is a marijuana processing plant based in Kalkaska, Michigan. 42 Degrees came to Windemuller at the startup phase of their company, and we’ve partnered with them from the ground up. They brought their original concept to our team where we offered design and engineering services as well as installation and a build out. 42 Degrees was then turned over to our electrical service team where the partnership continued.
As a facility which uses high volumes of power, the company was in need of a service update and voltage switch upgrade. Windemuller tackled the job by removing their existing 400-amp service and replacing it with a new 2000-amp, which supplied additional growth capacity. The electrical team also supplied temporary generator power which backed up essential equipment that needed to remain operational at all times. Due to the tight timeframe, the team conducted two weeks of pre-work to eliminate as much down time as possible. The team worked onsite throughout a weekend to restore the power in time for the Monday morning deadline. Additionally, pre-fabrication was utilized for large conduits needed for the main electrical equipment changeover. Windemuller completed the project by its deadline thanks to tireless communication and strategic planning. We’ve enjoyed watching 42 Degrees continue to grow over the last three years as we have a steady service presence in the facility.
